Google Plus stream

I have a Google Plus profile with a vanity URL

https://plus.google.com/+JesseSVicCovertInvestigations/posts

I added just “+JesseSVicCovertInvestigations” as my Google ID number for Google Plus but I get this error:

There were errors with your request:
Failed to open url: http://googleplusrss.nodester.com/+JesseSVicCovertInvestigations (cURL error 28: connect() timed out!)

Is it something to do with my vanity URL do you think?
