[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Excerpt page links

My main index page only shows post excerpts for gallery posts. In my case everything works great except for the fact that the page link navigation shows up.

For example, if my settings show 20 images per page and I have 60 pictures, I should normally get the links for 3 pages below the images. When displaying an excerpt it creates unlinked links for the pages plus a forward arrow at the top of the post.

Is it possible to prevent this?
