Does WordPress benefit from SSDs?

    I’m looking at a host that offers SSD hosting for a few dollars a month more. From what I’ve heard, the benefit of the SSD really depends on what software you’re running. For WordPress will it make a big difference?

    It’s very hard ot say without a whole lot more info. But in a general sense, any software system should run faster form SSD drives as they normally access the data on the disc faster. That’s the only advantage that they’d give you. If you think that it’s worth the extra cost then try it out.
