I have no idea what I am doing

So I’ve downloaded wordpress 3.8 from the website, unzipped it, and now all I am seeing are random files. I have no idea what I’m doing! I would really appreciate it if someone could guide me through this.

I’m trying to get a page going so I can put my podcasts on it for iTunes, and I was told to get the podpress plugin, but obviously, you can’t get plugins unless you download wordpress.

HELP!
