2.5.1 HTTPS & media bugs – a little rant/plea

    I really love wordpress. I stayed with it for years now. But what really bugs me are a lot of simple bugs which are horribly annoying. I have waited for months now and I just need to get this little plea off my system.

    first. All things opening (like “make link”) do not work with HTTPS. Tested: Safari, Firefox (both Mac). Versions: .5.0 and .5.1.

    second. The new media uploader system … well. I guess there’s all about it. I can just add that if I use it with Firefox (old and new flash, HTTP and HTTPS) it does not work, and shuts down my blog for about 30 seconds. Annoying as hell. With Safari it works for HTTP. Again all Mac.

    Please – fix this. I can live with plugin XYZ not working, or with some other functionality broken, but EDITING is primary and secondary and tertiary focus of a blogging system …

    Still I won’t change WP for anyhting else … but well.
