Well it’s not actually missing but when I click on Settings, StopSpammerHistory, I get sent to blog page and logged out. :/

I’ve been using this plugin since Dec. 24 and everything was great, now suddenly it’s not. I deleted the plugin and installed the newest version. But it still wouldn’t open the History page.

I have 2 blogs, that are pretty much identical, using the same theme and plugins, hosted together at godaddy. On the other site everything is working perfectly. The only thing I’ve done to both sites recently, is that I added a plugin, 2 days ago, called “Are You a Human?” which is a type of captcha that uses a game to make sure you’re not a bot when you register.

Despite the History Page not showing, I think that the plugin is still working because I accidently blacklisted my friend and she emailed me this morning to tell me she was blocked. I deleted her IP from the Settings page blacklist.

Anyone know how to get my History page back?

  • This is really a weird one.

Try de-activating the new plugin and try again.

It could be a problem with the new plugin that has somehow hooked into the login functions and is confused by my plugin. Try unchecking the “Check credentials on all login attempts:” box on the Spammer settings page so that the plugin will not call any login functions that might be misinterpreted by the other plugin.

Make sure that you are accessing the settings from the plugins settings on the left under “Settings” – “Spammer History”. The links that I used in previous versions, under the plugin or on the main “Right Now” section were broken, but fixed in the last release. I could be that you have a page somehow cached with the old broken links.

The last resort is to deactivate and then delete the plugin using the WordPress plugins main page (not using FTP). The “Add New” and do the install. This will delete all options, lose your black list and white list, and be a pain in the neck, but it is the only way to clean up everything.

    Keith,
    thank you.
I did uninstall it and reinstalled it after deactivating all my plugins but nothing changed. That’s when I noticed that NOTHING HAD CHANGED -not even the plugins that I had deactivated. So that told me you were right about the cache. This is strange since I purge the cache after every change.

I went to cloudflare and put it in development mode as well as turning off the “always online”. Then I opened spammer history in an IE browser (it has no saved cookies because I rarely use it) and the spam history was fixed.

Cloudflare is great. I use it and like it, but every once in a while…
