home slider 5 to 10 second delay

Any image i add to the slider (low res 500×300) I continue to get the same result. everything on my page pops up very quickly but the slider has about a 5 to 10 second delay.

using this site i can see that i have problems on the back end, but being a newb im not able to decipher which “redflag” pertains to the slider if any.
