These two plugins used to work together …

I think from 3.7 or 3.8, having BWP Minify and BJ Lazy Load active at the same time prevents any image from being shown, any image.

Turning off one of them solves the problem. Like turning off BWP Minify while leaving BJ Lazy Load active solves the problem. And vice versa.

Since our website is image-intensive, we sacrificed BWP Minify.

However, if this can be fixed, it would be great to have BWP Minify and BJ Lazy Load both active.

    Thanks

    Any update, sir ?

Well, it now works with BJ Lazy Load, after changing number of files one minify string will contain from 10 to 5.

Found the answer from an old post :

    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/images-gone-when-using-better-wp-minify?replies=10

Now, a new problem where Simple Lightbox doesn’t work with BWP. The solution last time was to put the handle names under “Scripts to be minified in header”. Maybe they changed handle names …

Hi there, can you try the 1.3.0 beta version here:

    https://github.com/OddOneOut/Better-WordPress-Minify/archive/1.3.0.zip

to see if BZ Lazy Load and Simple Lightbox work for you? Also try setting Minify string length to 10 instead of 5 too.

    Hi,

Thanks ! I installed 1.3.0 beta, same results. Even 5 doesn’t work now with BJ Lazy Load on.

Please look here, maybe you can debug it ?

    http://www.astrasuite.com/astrablog/box-furniture-co-racks-gallery/

This is the only post where BWP Minify is active, for testing, the rest have been globally turned off (with Plugin Organizer). It is supposed to show several images, and when image is clicked, it opens up in a lightbox.

Another thing I noticed, when I hover over the menu tab “Galleries : Images/Videos”, it doesn’t show the dropdown menu anymore.

It is supposed to work like in the link below (where BWP is turned off, BJ Lazy Load and Simple Lightbox are active) :

    http://www.astrasuite.com/astrablog/absolare-gallery/

    According to one developer :
“In my testing, BWP was not properly minifying scripts (the script URLs it generated was loading a different page on the site) and was causing JavaScript syntax errors. You might want to look into this as well on your site as this could be contributing to the issue you’re experiencing.” – I don’t know if that is correct, but maybe it can help in the debugging too.

    Thanks

Ah I see the issue now, but it’s Simple Lightbox’s issue and not BJ Lazy Load’s, and not even the length of Minify string (10 or 5 should not matter in your case). Somehow the base (astrablog) is not being detected for Simple Lightbox scripts.

Would you mind keeping that test page for some days to help me fix it?

    Thank you.

Hi, Khang Minh, no problem, I’ll keep the test page to help you fix it.

the base astrablog is a subdirectory …

Thanks a lot ! Can’t wait to use BW Minify again 🙂

    Hi,

I had to restore the test post back to normal as someone was trying to access it to see the images …

You can use this instead for testing :

Good news, this has been fixed. I will push the update to 1.3.0-beta tomorrow so you can check it out 🙂

Hi you can try the beta, it should fix the issue with Simple Lightbox.

Thanks, I’ve downloaded it and installed.

BWP Minify settings page still shows it as v.1.2.3. Is this correct ?

    Let’s try test page :
    http://www.astrasuite.com/astrablog/uh-bow-technologies-zz-eight-cd-player/

BJ Lazy Load and Simple Lightbox are active

BJ Lazy Load will not load the image unless value for “One minify string will contain” is less than 4. With 4 and above, no images load.

Simple Lightbox still does not work. Clicking on a thumbnail opens full size image in a new tab, not in a lightbox.

Simple Lightbox script handles are :
    slb_core
    slb_view

In an old version of BWP Minify, I don’t remember which one, if I put these script handles under “Scripts to be minified in header”, it works.

Not this time, however. I tried it all, header, ignored, etc.

Ah sorry I made a typo in last commit, please download and try again:

    https://github.com/OddOneOut/Better-WordPress-Minify/archive/1.3.0.zip

Sorry for this inconvenience. Also 1.2.3 is expected so no need to worry about that, just make sure you remove the old folder and upload the 1.3.0 one 🙂

    Hi, Khang Minh,

Perfect ! Now everything is working, and I even restored it to 10 for “One minify string will contain”

I am even able to put the Simple Lightbox script handle names to be minified in footer and it works.

I have reactivated BWP Minify to be Globally active again.

Thanks for the great work !

I downloaded the 1.3.0 and everything is working fine with my site. I to use simple lightbox and lazyload. What I was hoping for was the drop down menu to help with the one question I have….”Type in one script handle (NOT filename) “. Will this function be available soon?

    Hi Americanfreak,

I’ve just pushed an update that features auto-detection of JS, CSS files along with a friendly page to put files into appropriate positions, you should try it out, feedbacks are welcomed.
