• I am new to WordPress – I need to edit our work website and the person who used to do it is no longer here. I have a page showing a subnav menu in the body text – listed as <subnav> but I can’t figure out how to view the menu to add or remove items from it. From readn other help screens in wordpress.org, it appears I might get there via the “Appearance” menu, but this menu item does not show on my dashboard (I have all the “Screen options” items checked) I realize this is likely a easy and dumb question, but would appreciate some advice as I am stymied. I can get to and edit the pages listed in the <subnav> list, but not the list of pages itself.
    Thanks

  • If the theme being used does not support the wp_nav_menu, you will not see it. The links may have either been added using wp_list_pages or wp_list_categories. Can you paste the contents of your header.php file here?

Would the admin_header.php file contents work? I can’t locate just header.php. Thanks

I figured it out, the list is beng poulated automatically from the sub pages, so I just made the subpage private.
