Hey kate08, version 1.6 now supports custom post types.

    Example:

    [SimpleYearlyArchive posttype="my_product"]

    Hi Oliver, excellent…thank u! 😉

    Hello, Oliver.
Your pluging is very useful, thanks a lot for your work.
I would like to ask you about custom post types.
I manage a faculty website and I have CPT called “Articles”. Also, I have a taxonomy for this post type, that works as a categories in a regular posts. Each category – is an author.

Is it possible to show archive of CPT by author? Each taxonomy element has its own ID, but how can use it in a shortcode?

Hi Vsevolod, it does work with custom post types, but not with custom taxonomies.

    Example for CPT:

    [SimpleYearlyArchive posttype="articles"]

    Thanks, Oliver.
Are you thinking about this option realization in future releases?
Or you’re not interested in this?
    I’ve found a similar topic: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/include-taxonomy-term?replies=2
    Anyway, thanks for the plugin.

Hi Vsevolod, well the topic you linked just requested to include taxononmy terms to be listed for each post just like it is for categories.

I think adding support for filtering by taxonomy term is something a little more confusing to the user. I’m always considering the plugin name (Simple Yearly Archive) before adding new features, and adding taxonomy term filtering would be a bit too much in my opinion.

Well, the term of simplicity could be disputable 🙂
I’ll try to find another solition.
    Good luck, Oliver!
