Job Categories not sorted & Not showing for expired jobs

On the backend, the expired listings don’t trigger there category to show up under “Job Categories” drop down. If all the listings in that category are expired. It makes it hard to find them when you have tons of jobs.

On the front end on the job search page, the categories are not in alphabetical order in the drop-down menu.

is there a way to fix these 2 things?
