@mangelhm, Thanks for the feedback. Characters support is just as to wordpress default. For csv import you need to convert your files as UTC-8 without BOM. Only this can work well for other languages like spanish as reported by out plugin users. This is already discussed previous thread and there is a step by step instruction given in FAQ. Hope you not read it before giving a try.

I wasn’t very sure about what you meant with UTC-8 without BOM, but reading the thread as you suggested found out that it was just a matter of converting the CSV file to UTF-8 using the wordpad.
Now the importer works wonderfully!

Sorry, I wasn’t around lately. I was working on the data of my app.
To convert the csv to utf8 I simply opened it with notepad and saved it again, selecting the utf8 option. Simple as that.
How can I re-reate and mark this issue as solved?

No need to recreate you have to update the old feedback. After login, go to http://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/wp-ultimate-csv-importer. at bottom you can see the old rating and review, edit and save to update new review.
