This issue started last week 12/26 or 12/27. It is only specific to my WordPress blog and Firefox. Everything appears to have loaded on my blog website, but the circle keeps moving around and around like it is still loading. It doesn’t matter what page you are on, it happens.

I have no idea what is causing it and I don’t even know where to look. The fact that this just started is odd to me as well, as I certainly didn’t change any code or add new plugins.

Any thoughts or direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You!

  • Looks like it’s from the Shareholic plugin – shows “Transferring data from shareholic.com…”

Yeah, I’ve seen that too, but I am pretty confident that isn’t the problem.

For starters, every time I reload the page it says something different there. Second, I deactivated the shareholic plugin and it then said, “Transferring data from sarahsbakestudio.com…”

Sometimes it says “waiting for [a bunch of numbers and letters].cloudfront.net…”. I don’t know what that is…appears something from Amazon although I don’t know where it came from or how to stop it. But still not sure if that is even the issue either.

Have you tried deactivating ALL plugins to see if that resolves it?

Not a plugin. I deactivated everything, and removed widgets and extra scripts. It appears all of a sudden my hello bar javascript is having issue in firefox.

    Hi Sarah,

I’ve had this happen on one or more sites that I was developing. This has happened to me in the past when I was referencing an external script, image or other file from a website that no longer existed.

For example, a plugin I was using was referencing an arrow image from a website that had been taken down years ago, so It was just running an endless loop on that element. Note the error thrown in the Chrome console, but not in Firefox.

As WPyogi has mentioned, it does look like its the shareaholic plugin. To me it seems that its trying to reference a .jsonp file from there servers and its unable to find it. In chrome it throws an error, in firefox it just endlessly looks for it.

    Failed to load resource https://shareaholic.com/v2/user_info?callback=Shareaholic.Utils.callbacks.jsonp_callback_1388510452955

If your calling in that .jsonp file in your header, and not through a plugin, this is most likely the culprit.

I hope this helps resolve your issue.

    Thanks Evan for your input.

It isn’t shareaholic. It’s the hello bar javascript. I am not sure why, but when I removed it everything was perfect again. The Hello Bar scipt doesn’t seem to be working at all now. I am working with them to find out what the deal is.

    Thanks!
