Portfolio Grid and Featured Items

    I am in the process of building my wordpress site as an artistic portfolio and blog. I really like the layout of the site at http://myblankpaper.com/.
    I understand that the premium version of this theme would be required to use a portfolio grid on your home page and I am prepared to purchase it, but I had a few questions first.

    #1 Is it possible to have more then one portfolio grid on your site? For example, I might like to have one on my home page that displays all (or some) portfolio types and one on another page that displays another combination of portfolio types.

    #2 How do I control the placement or visibility of the “featured item” on a portfolio item page? For example, I would like to show a series of 5 photographs on an item page, and feature the third item, but have it displayed third on the portfolio item page.

    #3 Is it possible to set up a portfolio grid in which clicking on the thumbnail would bring up an image slider of other images from the series without taking the user to the portfolio item page first?

    Hey,
    1. Yes you can have as many portfolio grid pages as you want, there are settings when you set up the page to only show items from a certain category.

    2. You can customize the image order in the portfolio gallery box and choose any image to be the featured image.

    3. It’s not possible. You can however choose to show a portfolio item as a slideshow as seen here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium/portfolio/

    I have create metabox upload image. How can I replace featured image by my metabox image?

    2. You can customize the image order in the portfolio gallery box and choose any image to be the featured image.

    @ntsasng please create your own topic rather then posting on a resolved topic from 5 months ago.

    I don’t understand your question. Why not use the standard featured image? What benefit is there by replacing it. For the theme to use your metabox your going to have to edit ever instance of the featured image in the theme.
