Category views (grid, list) not honoured via shortcode insert

Sadly none of my selected category views are being honoured when the category is inserted via a shortcode. This had been a well reported bug for a long time and strangely has still not been fixed in this latest release.

I had a premium support techy fix this brilliantly a while ago (I paid for the token!) which was a manual amend to the /plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-includes/theme.functions.php file (see

In 3.8.13 that file has now completely changed and I do not know where to add my fix anymore to get my category views back. My site looks terrible. I am not willing to pay for another support token just to get something sorted that was already only supposed to be a temporary manual fix for a known and reported bug.

Why was this oversight not sorted in the new version, please? And how can I get my categories to display properly again???
