Hi…thanks for the reply you sent me about Buddypress. I ditched BP it didn’t do what I needed & it conflicted with your plugin. There’s a New Plugin that Works Wonders!!! However, jonradio I simply want to use your plugin for this task: 1.I want to Create a New Page for my Home/Index.htm Page and use A Completly Different WP Theme (Just For The NWE st Page/Index.htm/Home Page). 2. I then want to add shortcode or LINKS to Join/Registration on New Page for New members Signing up….and Login (Already has re-direct for both) for Members to signing to their established accounts. 3. Once inside the MAIN Original Home/Index.htm page will be seen for all to access the Main Site Area. How Do I Do This With Your Plugin…Th Easy Way? With NO CODING!!!…lol Just by using your plugin. When user come to the NEW front page of my website…then JUST get to Login or Jon & Registrer & Create a Profile page with uploads. Everyone else with a membership simply logs in. I need This ASAP if you can help. My Site Launches and goes Live Midnight Dec 31 2013. I’ll be up Untill 6 am tonight Working on Membership Features and The Front Page (New HOME/Index.htm Page). Also….Do I need to change the Original/Old Index.htm page name so users won’t get lost or confused, or No Conflicts will occur In WP at all? Thank Brother…Blessings. Happy Holidays to all.

  • The plugin simply allows you to assign different Themes to specified Pages and Posts, selectively overriding the standard WordPress behaviour which normally assigns the Active Theme (on /wp-admin/themes.php) to all Pages and Posts. Nothing more.

In your case, you would use the “Select Theme for Site Home” setting in the plugin.

That assumes that you have created a Home Page as described here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page#Creating_a_Static_Front_Page

I’ve looked through some of your other posts, as well as the questions you ask above, and they go way beyond the scope of my plugin. I’m not going to be able to help you anymore tonight as it is past my bedtime. I think you need a larger audience for your questions, which you’ll find here:
    http://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting

I would suggest you try working through what I’ve mentioned here, and then pose one question at a time in the Troubleshooting support forum, as you run into specific problems.

Just some ideas from an old computer guy (I started programming in 1971) whose health isn’t the greatest, so can only offer limited assistance.
