Slow loading but better Page Speed scores

    This is probably the best plugin to increase page speed scores. But enabling makes my site load slower than without Autoptimize. It only took 2 sec. to load but with autoptimize, it now takes 8 sec. to load.

    I did a quick test with Autoptimize 1.8.1 and the theme you use (which is Mesocolumn, right?) and all seems well actually. The problem must be elsewhere (buddypress or one or more plugins).

    If you have a non-production-site I’d be more then happy to get AO 1.8.x up and running, if only to confirm if there indeed is a regression in 1.8 (which I would want to fix, obviously).
