I used Functionality for the plugin to edit functions, if that makes a difference.

You shouldn’t need to add any custom Code for jetpack to grab your Featured Image and use it as an Open Graph meta tag. However, looking at your most recent post, something seems wrong on your site at the moment.
Could you remove the custom fallback code that you added before, and let me know when it’s done?

No, I didn’t add code for the Featured image. I added the code you linked to for the “no image attached” problem. I was letting you know that I did use that code in case it makes a difference since still have the same problem, just a different way of accomplishing the same problem.
But I’ve disable the functionality plugin, so the code shouldn’t be active anymore. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!
Could you try to reinstall Jetpack from scratch? For some reason Jetpack doesn’t seem to be able to grab images in your posts, although they seem to be correctly uploaded, inserted into your posts, and added as a Featured Image.
Done. Reloaded. I’ve figured out the problem.
Test post 1: Jetpack only + featured image…WORKS
Test post 2: Jetpack only + featured image + image in post…WORKS
Test post 3: Jeherve custom image code + Jetpack + no image…WORKS (grabs custom image successfully)
Test post 4: Jeherve custom image code + Jetpack +featured image…BROKEN
