    Hi all,

General questions: There is a concept of category and sub category for events… What is the purpose of this sub category? How to use it?

    1/ Create category: cat: OK
    2/ Create sub-category of cat: sub-cat: OK

Create events for cat & create events for sub-cat: OK

All of that is OK from the dashboard. But on the calendar month/list, how to take advantage of this?

What I would like from the list view for:
1/ cat: see only events asign to cat
2/ sub-cat: see events asign to both cat & sub-cat…

Specific questions: Is it possible? And how to achive it?

    Thanks!

    Ping?

    Hi Franck160,

Sorry for the delay – we normally only scan this forum once a week and there was an extended gap over the festive period.

When all’s said and done event categories are simply terms in a WordPress taxonomy, so you have complete flexibility to do with them pretty much the same things you would do with regular WordPress taxonomy terms (like post categories).

Exposing the information you want (showing parent categories etc) in the way you want might require a little tweak here and there, however. Take a look at our docs and tutorials to get you started:

    Hope that helps 🙂

No problem, I just wanted this to be still up to date 😉 Hope you all have happy Christmas 🙂

Yes, “little” tweak here and there… 😉

But OK, you answered. Sub-cat give no advantage today & as is.

    Pretty much 🙂
