• I didn’t test whether the actual form or PayPal functionality within the form worked. After creating the first form I realized that this plugin required me to create a new form for each item and that the price of that item had to be a whole dollar amount. For example, 17.59 (USD) is an invalid amount. However, a base price of 17 is acceptable.

If you only have one item or one item per page and you can round up or down to the nearest dollar it may work for you.

I do appreciate the developers effort to create this plugin, but as is for most businesses I believe it would be found to be of no use.

    Hi,

While I appreciate this plugin may not be useful to you, it doesn’t mean it won’t be to other people. And I also think it’s a little harsh to give a 1-star review to something you haven’t tried out fully!

I created it as a response to the lack of any free plugins out there already offering this functionality. Sure, there are some paid plugins offering more flexibility etc, but that’s what you get from a paid plugin.

I’m happy for suggestions to be made for improvements, but I’d rather people contact me first before leaving a negative review!

    Thanks

Was my initial assessment of “If you only have one item or one item per page and you can round up or down to the nearest dollar it may work for you.” inaccurate?

The fact that it is free is not a good reason for it not have any functionality. If that’s your attitude you should remove it from the repository.

I appreciate all feedback, so not at all. I’m glad you brought the issue of having to round up to the nearest dollar to my attention – I will try to change that.

I’m just wondering if you’ve explored all the functionality of the plugin?

For example, you said you can only have one item, but each form can accommodate multiple products. For example, when creating the initial form the base price can be set at $0, then when you click on the form name you can add options. There are various field types and each one allows up to 50 different options (ie. 50 different products, or variations of a product).

I’m not sure if you’d come across that? If not, does it improve things at all for you? If you’ve already seen it and it doesn’t do what you need, I guess this plugin just isn’t suitable for your needs at this time unfortunately.
