In the previous version there was a button called “EmptySpam.” When I clicked it they disappeared. Yes, I guess they were from comments. They never showed up as such and I never read them — just dumped them. A few sneaked through I guess — and became comments. It was all very confusing to me. What I miss is the box that showed the spam count and I think it was on the same page that should my best day. Come to think of it I don’t think I’ve seen that in 3.8 either. Were they on Site Stats?
Anyway, I can’t find anything in Posts about Spam.
You can still empty spam quickly. Click on Comments on left nav, click on Spam on top nav, click Empty Spam.
It’s still there, Thet.
Go to yourdomain.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php?comment_status=spam
Click on Empty Spam 🙂
