I switched from Disqus to Social Comments and like it so far.

A user noted that the WordPress comment box asks for a “Name”, “E-mail” and “(optional)”. The optional field confused him. I’m assuming that field is intended for a commenter’s website or blog URL.

I have not been able to find where this information is stored. Is this a WP issue, or is that in one of the files in the SC plug-in directory? I just want to change “(optional)” to “website (optional)”.

Excuse me if this should be posted in a WordPress support forum instead.

  • The information is stored on the FB login page, the plugin only link to fb if you are not logged in.

I’m talking about on the tab for WordPress comments, not Facebook or Google. The plugin does know when I’m logged into wordpress.com, but if I’m not logged in the “optional” box is displayed below “Name” and “E-mail”.

Being logged into Facebook or not has no effect.

This data is stored in WordPress and has nothing to do with this plugin.

The website (optional) field is a part of the default WordPress comment form. and you can change the label hook a function to the comment_form_default_fields filter.
