Hi I wanted to edit a theme without it being live. I’d rather not have it on subdomain, is there a way to do it on my main site so where if I hit the activate button for that theme it would be all ready to go? Thank you so much!

Yeah I tried that plugin out but when I activated the plugin I wanted to edit, it led me to the editor of the old theme and showed that the old theme was still active.

You could ask on that plugins forum if it’s not working as expected – though I’ve never used it so don’t know how well it works at all. I don’t know of another way to do what you are describing.

Though it’s really not too hard to switch over to a site in a sub-directory (not sub-domain) –
