We have moved our WordPress website to a new host and have lost all Topic links in our bbPress Forum Subjects. WP- 3.7, bbPress 2.5, bbPress Admin Bar 1.71, 0.3 bbPress Email
    Theme: Twenty Thirteen
    Other Plug-ins running:
    qTranslate
    NextGen
    s2Member
    EmailUsers
    WPApproveUser
    JetPack
    Ajax Calendar
    Contact Form7
    Contact Aware sidebars
    BackupWordPress

In the Dashboard we can see all the Forums and subjects and topics correctly. The webiste displays the Forum Topic correctly but clicking on the link creates a 404 error , page not found. We have created a new Forum subject and child Topic as a test. On the site the test Subject/Topic is visible, but again, clicking on the Topic only gives the 404 error once again.
We have run the bbPress Repair Forum tool with no success. We are not confident if we run “Reset Forums” the plugin will be functioning once after we lose all current our posts.
How can we correct the database link to our Forum Topics so the pages can be found and we avoid the 404 error? Also, how can we be certain a complete clean re-install bbPress, from scratch, will correct the current website database error? Thank you for your help.

This could be an issue with your rewrite rules. To fix this try resetting your permalinks. In your WordPress Administration Screens navigate to Settings > Permalinks, select a different permalink structure and save. Then select your preferred permalink structure and save again.

Stephen. I tried the permalinks re-set to no avail. I’m not sure what the permalink setting was before the move to the new host. I left it on default (how I found it)after I ran the re-set test. As mentioned no change away from the error. From other posts it seems I have some work to do, ie test the effect of all other plug-ins and perhaps inquire with my Host server folks possible problems with htaccess and permalink operation on their servers? Thanks for other suggestions if possible.
    Regards.

It was the “qTranslate slug” plug-in by Carlos Sanz Carcia. With that deactivated my Forums now function.
