HELP: Clearing out unused user roles

    For the past couple of days, I’ve been hopping between BuddyPres+bbpress and Simple:Press. As you know, these forum plugins create their own set of user roles.

    Right now, I just have Simple:Press. the others were deleted.

    I just looked at the Add New User page and I still see the roles used bu bbpress & buddypress. I’ve haven’t done any kind of remapping. I’m trying to give the forum stuff, a break. I may find myself going back to the two duals.

    How do I clear the old roles?

    If you install Justin Tadlocks ‘Members’ Plugin, it will give you complete control over roles, so you should be able to delete any that have been created by other plugins. http://wordpress.org/plugins/members/

    Then, once you’ve removed the roles you don’t need, you can then uninstall this plugin.

    Thanks for telling me, about Members. It worked nicely. I’m not going to worry about KeyMaster, as it is me.
