• Dear WordPress community,

I hope you can help me,
I just made my own website on local using MAMP.
Then I tried to put on a distant server.

But my site is empty, only 1 post, 1 comment, 1 welcomming message.
So I think there is a problem with my database.
When I look at it on the host, it appears to be empty. So the problem might be in exporting/importing it.

When I go to my local MAMP I can only see the wp_spider tables…
    I can’t understand why
here is a screenshot : screenshot

maybe it’s a stupid question but I didn’t find any keyword that made me find the answer..

    yes but before moving it,

    the tables :
    wp_commentmeta
    wp_comments
    wp_links
    wp_options
    wp_postmeta
    wp_posts…

should appear on my local MAMP, right?

    In your local database, yes.

Yes, but look at this screenshot of my local DB :

    isn’t there something wrong?

why do I only see the :
    wp_Spider_Video_Player_…
    tables? where are the others?

Sorry but I cannot see any WordPress core database there. Only some tables for a plugin.

    I don’t either and I don’t know why. 🙁
when I run my site on local, I can see my article and all, I need to know to which database it refers to. Can I see it with chrome element inspector?

in MAMP when I click on “search” I can see them!
    but where are them?!

Can I see it with chrome element inspector?

No – you will need to use something like Phpmyadmin. The name of the database will be in your wp-config.php file.

If I am in my local site, with my browser and MAMP, how can I know exactly to witch database my local site refers to?
because on my local site I can see my site with articles, images and everything
but when I go to the database I only see what I showed you, so I guess I’m in the wrong place in the db and I don’t know what to do.

The name of the database will be in your wp-config.php file.

so the prob comes from MAMP or phpmyadmin
when I click on “search” tab, all the tables are in the list.

is there a way to reinstall MAMP without loosing my site and database please?

Try asking on a forum dedicated to your server software.
