    What version are you using?

    (@wp_fish)

Version 2.13 of your plugin and WordPress V3.7

Go to your pull-out Dashboard, click ‘Server Capabilities’ … what does it say?

    Thread Starter wp_fish

    (@wp_fish)

Zip: ‘ZipArchive’ class exists, ‘zip_open’ function exists
    cURL:

    That’s all it says

Your website URL? Happening because you don’t have cURL installed or active on your website .. should be fixed in v2.13

When you say, “should be fixed in v2.13” what do you mean? Will installing
    cURL fix it?

    Plugin Author Viadat

    (@viadat)

Correct, installing cURL should fix it. “Should be fixed”, meaning not having cURL should no longer affect the admin area loading up, which is what appears to be happening.

That is a confusing sentence. I don’t have cURL yet you say v2.13 should no longer affect the admin area loading up? The admin area does not load up, your response suggests that it should even if I don’t have cURL.

I will look into installing cURL and let you know what happens.

    Thanks

Correct, exactly as you’ve said: v2.13 was meant to fix that cURL/admin loading issue .. but if it’s still giving you trouble, then it’s not fully fixed yet — thus, this may help towards further improving this fix, once resolved.

Also, consider putting your WordPress into debug mode by setting the ‘WP_DEBUG’ constant to TRUE in your ‘wp-config.php’ file, maybe you will see other error messages or more info as to what the problem is.

I am having trouble contacting the hosting company. I will keep trying and keep you posted.

    (@wp_fish)

I’ve finally managed to get a response from my hosting company and they have confirmed cURL is installed and activated.

I noticed that since this thread was started a new version of the plugin was availabe so I installed that and upgraded to the very latest version of WordPress (3.8). It still doesn’t work, exact same issues 🙁 🙁

sorry to bring up an old thread however I am getting these same issues

WP 3.9.2 newest version of plugin

    Your Server Capabilities:
Zip: ‘ZipArchive’ class exists, ‘zip_open’ function exists
    cURL:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in plugins/store-locator/sl-admin/info/test-curl.php on line 1

    CURL is installed as well..
