    Hi,

We are using the “MediaElement.js” as the default audio player for our mp3 files. But when you view it on mobiles it uses “HTML5 Audio Player”. The “MediaElement.js” player is also HTML5 right? So I hope we could switch to this on mobile too. Coz “HTML5 Audio Player” is too small. Thanks!

Nevermind. I will use the default [audio] embed now available on wordpress 6 and up.

They look exactly the same but this time it works on mobile too.

PowerPress does not use the MEJS player for mobile devices for a reason. We’ve found that the native HTML5 player works much better across all mobile devices, where-as the MEJS (JavaScript interfaced HJTML5 player) does not always work on some mobile devices.

Our goal with PowerPress is to provide 100% functionality across all devices and native HTML5 does just that.

The next major release of PowerPress will provide an option to use the MEJS player for mobile as well, with a warning explaining the above. None of the other player options in PowerPress will have this option since they are flash based.

    Hi Angelo,

Yeah I understand. But I gotta follow what the client wants 🙂

    Anyway, thanks for the info.
