  • I’m not sure what you mean by “fit a section of a site” — could you explain?

I mean i have a section of a site i want the blog to appear in, not a whole seperate page. I.E. on “http://www.iamtravis.com” , i want my blog to appear in just the “news” section, and nothing else. If you could help, that’d be great!

If you’re saying that you want something like WordPress’s posts to appear on the main page of your site, you need The Loop. The Loop is a section of code from the index.php which displays WP’s posts. http://wiki.wordpress.org/TheLoop

If I were to put The Loop into the content section of my main page (i.e. in the middle column, for example), would that just be the blog posts, or would that include the little things such as a calendar/search button, etc.? Just curious; have built a CSS-based HTML site, and am trying to figure out some way to make it WordPress friendly (I really like my template/colours/etc., but have no idea how to code the appropriate portions of WordPress’s index.php or CSS to make it look the way I want). It’s not on my site yet, but I’m working on it 🙂
