This is my first plugin, so please be gentle 😉
I just released WP-Pulse, a plugin that generates a graphic monitoring your blog’s “pulse”. Much comment activity will cause the pulse to peak, while a comment-less blog is “flatlining”.

Some of those other monitors are pretty cool to.
I wonder if you could take the pulse thing and turn it into a Flash application. Then it could really “pulse”. Number of pulses per minute would be relative to the number of posts.
Hmmmmm? Man, I don’t have enough time for all of my ideas.

I’ve posted a small update to the plugin (the image should now also rebuild on trackbacks and pingbacks) and some hopefully not too confusing instructions for fixing the “conflicting comment plugins” issue:
