    Hi there

First of all, a bit cliché I know, but let me start with saying how amazing this theme is. It’s by far the best free theme out there. I just love the slider, the blog and portfolio pages, amazing work done, props for that 😉

So for the last day I am personalizing the theme as much as I can to me for my school portfolio. There are just a couple of options that I couldn’t find.

First of all at this point you can only have post items, (well I think). They show up in your Blog, Portfolio and Slider. I wish there was an option to have portfolio items that only show up in your portfolio and slider but not in your blog. (When you download a plug-in for this, you don’t get the same look as this theme.)

secondly, I don’t wan’t an endless blog, so I putt the maximum posts per page on “5”. but now you also only have 5 posts in your portfolio page. which is not cool. Also on the blog page you can go to page 2, 3, 4, etc. but on the Portfolio page I can’t find this option.

Next, the slider height, why isn’t there a standard height, I don’t like it that the height keeps changing by going to the next image. It makes the content below move as well.

Next, I think it’s called the post-title (the name of the page), there should be an option to cancel this one per page. Because on the portfolio page for example, it doesn’t need to be there. I just wan’t the page to start directly with the posts. (also the heights of these posts are not always the same)

Lastly, I think it’s called the page-wrap. What I mean is, the whole white box, (a <DIV>) where you can put your content in. For every page it creates 1 box, but what I want is just like the blog page, that you can have multiple boxes, (page-wrap’s), so you can multiple topics in 1 page. So that there is a margin between the boxes. (only on the bottom of course)

I hope all my questions are clear, sorry for all my grammar mistakes, English is not my first language sorry 😀

  • Hi
Thanks for detailed advice. Try to answer:

    1) We use only post items in Blog, Portfolio and Slider, because they are supported by each wordpress theme and your content will not be lost if you switch themes. If we, for example, will use custom post type for Portfolio, portfolio posts will be lost when you switch Duena on other theme. Exist other methods to separate Blog, Portfolio and Slider from each other and we will try add some in future updates.

    2) Yep, portfolio template needs to improvement, it’s also in planning for future updates

    3) By default slider’s dimensions is 1170×450. Maybe you need to regenerate thumbnails or load larger images for slider.

    4) Yep, as I said, portfolio template needs to improvement and option for disabling title possible can be one of them

    5) If I understand you in right way, one box for standard page content it’s most optimal decision, because user can add to page a lot of different elements, and manually wrap each other into box – it’s not the best practice, wrap it automatically – also not good, because user can add some shortcodes or custom content and it will not be wrapped

Hope that’s answers was helpful for you 🙂
