I’m utterly disappointed with this plugin at this point. It seems that every upgrade has brought more issues. This plugin is just not performing the way it should. It seems that this plugin has gotten worst with the release of the pro version.

Also, I’m baffled about why there isn’t a way to manage media in the administration area. I thought it made perfectly good sense to store the media in the existing Media Library. That would make it accessible to all users for blog post and it would also allow you to use some of the Media Library features such as show which post media is attached to.

If you want this plugin to be great it simply must sync with the existing library and the shortcodes must work.

[rtmedia_gallery] – This shortcode does not work. period. No media is displayed. The error is “Oops !! There’s no media found for the request !!”

[rtmedia_gallery global=”false” context=”post” context_id=”2″ media_type=”photo” media_author=”1″] – The media is displayed and when clicked it shows page not found.

[rtmedia_gallery global=”true” context=”post” context_id=”2″ media_type=”photo” media_author=”1″] – The media is displayed and when clicked it shows page not found.

[rtmedia_gallery global=”true” media_type=”photo”]- The media is displayed and when clicked it shows page not found.

Saving the permalinks to custom post with /%postname%/ did not fix the problem.

mywebsite.com/members/username/media/ – does not display any media

mywebsite.com/media/ – does not display any media

Sidebar widgets being available only in the pro-version and not in the core seems more like a cheap arm twist to get people to pay for an under performing plugin.
Also, putting a Shortcode generator in posts allows the users to actually use the plugin so why would you make that available only in the pro-version. Are you saying you don’t want people to use the plugin ? This is confusing !
Everyone isn’t tech savvy the plugins shortcode should be readily accessible. It’s just good UI/UX design.

All of these “ADDON” features are useless to me if it does not work. You can’t upsell until you get the basics right. This plugin has been around too long for these minor issues to keep arising.

And you decided to add “Implicit Contexts”. Which is another term that will make it more difficult for the average Joe or Jane to use. Average people understand Group, tag and category but “Implicit Contexts” is going to add confusion.

    Simple is good.

@chp2009 – Thank you for your valuable feedback. Most of your points are valid and we would be looking into them.

I have opened a ticket here regarding the same -> http://git.rtcamp.com/rtmedia/rtmedia/issues/68. We are planning to go on a bug fixing marathon once rtMedia Pro 2.0 is released and your issues and feedback will be discussed and addressed there.

Also sorry for the delayed reply as we rarely check these forums. It would be great if you could post your future feedback or support topics here -> http://rtcamp.com/rtmedia/support/ as we are more active over there and you would get a quicker response.
