Create custom gallery display type

    In previous versions of NextGen to create custom HTML markup of gallery we used “templates”. in 2.0 it has label “not recommended”. So which method is recommended now?

    For example, I’m want to create a plugin that creates custom gallery template (“display type”). Is there an API for this?
