• Hi.

Just a suggestion: how about a setting to only log 404’s that have a valid (i.e. not blank) referrer? Keeping track of any 404’s is useful in order to be able to setup appropriate redirects, but most of my log is filled with pages and pages of entries with blank referrers. If the missing page requests don’t come from my site or an external one then I’m not too bothered about setting up redirects (although I realise in some cases this might be useful), so being able to turn off logging for 404s without a referrer would make it easier to find the important entries. It would also keep the log file size down a bit too!

    What do you think?

    Regards, James
