Check Settings –> General –> Timezone
As far as I can tell, Azerbaijan is UTC+4
Thank you. I tried that for Arizona time but after messing around I think maybe it is UTC+1. I am not sure why it is not working suddenly but it is super annoying. Have you had any issues with this before yourself?
Go to Settings > General > Timezone
The best way to set it is to select a city from the list that is in the same time zone as you, and preferably in AZ since most of AZ doesn’t observe DST
I did that but it is showing the wrong date and time when it is selected 🙁
Have you cleared your cache?
Yes and that didn’t help, thanks for the suggestion.
wordpress is saying i need to update my theme, could that be why it is being weird?
I don’t know why a theme would affect the time zone, but if there’s an update it’s better to install it for security reasons nonetheless
Ok, I just re-read your first post. When you change the time zone what does it say right next to it? It should list what your local time is? For example, mine shows UTC time is 2013-11-12 14:43:49 Local time is 2013-11-12 9:43:49
If that time is correct, then it’s working right. The published time of a post that is already published is not going to be changed by changing the time zone. However, you can manually change the times of the posts by going to the post’s edit page and editing the post date/time on the right hand side.
Yay it is working! It looks like clearing the cache worked, it just took a few minutes to correct. Thank you!
