Hi, two issues here (WP 3.7.1 and Bootstrap framework WP theme):
    – height and width of iframe set into shortcode are ignored (any browser)
    – Safari browser (both on MacOS and on iOS) doesn’t display document at all: I can see only the dark frame with buttons and it doesn’t show number of pages in the toolbar.

Make sure you use the viewer_width and viewer_height parameters with underscores to set the size. I made a typo in the description and used hyphens.

The PDFjs framework currently has some compatibility issues with Safari (one of which might be due to file size), and there’s not much we can do about it.

If you are looking for a cross-browser solution, consider looking for a flash viewer. If you want your files to be viewable on iOS, you should send users to the actual file for the best user experience.

Also note that there was a typo in the description that suggested you should use colons in the shortcode. Instead, you should use equal signs.

FWIW, when attempting to download the PDF, Safari (5.1.7 for Windows, the latest PC version) returns the error message “The Adobe Acrobat/Reader selected for viewing PDF documents in browsers cannot be found at its installed location; it may have been moved or deleted. Please reinstall or repair the application. (0:)” — though other browsers have no problems (except Opera, which jumbles up most of the text)….
