I have a case where there’s an editor that will be managing their site’s content with some of it coming from CSV imports. I’d like them to be an editor so they don’t see settings they don’t need. This is where my request comes in.

Is there any chance that this could be set to a custom capability that I can have be assigned to roles as needed, or possibly consider using the existing “import” user capability in determining permissions? I think it seems more apt, and it makes things more flexible than needing to grant an editor access to the site’s options in order for them to be able to import site content.

Any possibility of this being included in an update?
    Thanks!

Yes you can try Access manaager

That appears to be introducing more overhead than I’d like when I’d prefer to be able to grant them this one capability (or the import capability as that’s more accurate to the action) instead of having to grant them manage_options & then revoke all of the things that come with that [which change as plugins are added, etc.])

Thanks for the feedback. I can add the capability feature in feature request queue. You may expect this in future version.
