Problem installing themes

    Any time I try to upload a theme one of two things happens. Either it sits at “Installing theme” or I get the error

    "Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 10 seconds exceeded in /home/a5188566/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 187

    Anyone have any ideas about how to fix this or where I need to look?

    Where did you download this theme from?

    It doesn’t seem to matter where I get the theme from. I have tried 5 different themes getting theme from different places.

    However, I found a workaround. I just unzip the theme and upload it to the themes folder.

    Not ideal but I can get everything done that way.
