  • I know it’s no consolation, but I’ve had a similar problem using it on Avada theme – here.

Not received any replies as yet, so have switched to ‘all in one SEO’ plugin, which has an enable/disable rewrite on it

    hey jomez
    1. if your theme has custom built-in SEO, make sure it has been disabled.

2.save changes to the WordPress SEO meta-description again.

3.finally, it takes time for google to recrawl your site and index it. it depends on how often your site is crawled. sometimes it can take more than a week.

I have the same problem, also the descriptions show up on the wrong posts, all descriptions mixed up, a description of post A show up on post B etc. Also the descriptions are showing parts of the title.

I tried to leave the meta description blank, that doesn’t help.

    Thanks!

Any updates on this? having the same problem.

Can you describe your specific issue?

I am also having the same problem.

I have added meta-descriptions for my homepage, about page, and posts. In Google search results, old pages I haven’t updated are now simply drawing text from the page as they would if the plugin were not running and new posts I’ve added are pulling text in the same way. The title is working fine.

When I view the live source code I see that the the plugin has added the description, but somehow Google isn’t displaying it.

The only thing I’ve done to the site recently is to add the Better WP Security plugin to the site and that only monitors interactions and I don’t believe that it would have any impact on meta content.

I’m pretty good with the custom WordPress and my code is clean and practices generally best. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can u take a screenshot of your article like this one and also give a link to how the post appears in google? (example this)
    Also don’t forget ur url

This will help get a clear picture and understanding of what is going on.

One of them just got recached correctly. Not sure why it would get cached wrong in the first place. But let’s give it a couple days an I’ll get back to you if there is still a problem.

    Thanks a lot.
