• I have two problems:
    1. I left the config sample php file in when I transfered the files to my host and now I can’t delete it as ‘Permission denied’. How do I delete it. I’m using Filezilla.

    2. I have tried to load a couple of different themes but after unpacking the files I get a message saying ‘Cound not create directory’. What to do?

    Thanks

  • You (your web user account) should be able to create, delete, and modify any file or directory located in public_html. Contact your hosts support group and give them the information you just provided here. They may need to look into the file ownership and permissions on your web space.

1: just change the file permission 777 for config file after that you will be able to delete the file.

2: unpacking the theme on your system and then upload it in theme folder using Filezilla and then enable the theme from wp-admin or you can upload zip file directly from your C-panel and unzip it (for more details click here).

I tried changing the permission to 777 but still could not delete the file. Will do as Clayton suggests and try the host support group.
    Thanks for the comments.

Now you have to contact your hosting provider.
