• Hi,

    Last weekend I updated my WordPress page and ever since than I can’t access my wp-admin page. It keeps on giving me a 500 Internal Server Error.

    I have tried deleting/renaming .htaccess. I have also uploaden the essential folders again wp-admin and wp-includes, but it doesn’t work.

    This is the url to my dashboard – http://vlieny.sprintslash.com/wp/wp-admin/ which gives the 500 Internal Server Error. Because I can’t access my dashboard I can’t make my post appear either. It is possible to fix my problem through the phpadmin screen or some other way?

    I hope you can help me with my problem.

  • Same problem here after update from 3.6.1. to 3.7.1.

    I was going to fix a minor issue, saw the invitation to update to 3.7.1 and thought to do so before moving on. Regrets…

    Also when I try to access /wp-admin/about.php I get the “500-error”.

    Front end of the site is working OK, just cannot get into the admin part.

    Hi Vlien,

    After browsing my error-log, I think I found what caused this.

    In my case, the file /wp-includes/date.php had not been installed during the upgrade. This caused fatal errors in the log. Downloaded the install-file locally and uploaded the date.php file and now I can get into the back-end.

    Hope this helps you too?!

    @dekruyff: I am not missing the /wp-includes/date.php

    I have uploaded the wp-admin en wp-includes from WordPress 3.7 package, but that didn’t help. I still can’t login.

    @vlien – if you’ve gone through all the steps in this thread:

    Then ask your hosting company how to access the server error logs.
