• Hi,
I use a plugin- Admin Menu Editor, with the WP Security plugin’s required capability set to administrator but now WP Security v2.8.1 appears in a user’s dashboard menu (Author) that has been given the capability to manage_ options. Other plugin’s with the default capability manage_options but set to administrator in the Admin Menu Editor plugin do not appear in the Author’s dashboard menu.
    Thank You

  • Hi, If you don’t want a user/role to see the options menu of a plugin then why are you giving “manage_options” capability to that user/role?

    Hi,
    Sorry about the delay.
There are two other plugins I want to appear in the user’s dashboard that are by default set to manage_options.
In the Admin Menu Editor plugin I can set each catagory title – filesystem, firewall, user accounts ect.. to admin required capability which works fine- that also removes the plugin’s name (WP Security) from the user’s dashboard menu.
    Thank You
