As a future note to anyone else having this issue, we added a button that allows you to force our system to refresh your related content.
1. Sign in to your Shareaholic account
2. In WordPress, go to ‘/wp-admin/admin.php?page=shareaholic-settings’
3. Click the ‘Edit General Settings’ button on the far right hand side
4. Click the ‘Refresh’ button near the bottom, you can use this once every 24 hours
Once you click the button, your recommendations will get updated shortly. Though if our system is backed up, it might take a little while. Thanks for all your feedback!
Hello Andy, I found this topic cause in fact I dont realize why the Related Content looks old, always. I cannot be pressing the Refresh button every week. Will be an auto refresh feature sometime?
I refreshed Shareaholic and the related posts didn’t update. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but my other posts show the same page in related posts, but, on that page, it shows nothing. I’m temporarily using another plugin but this is frustrating me.
Also once I refreshed Shareaholic all my counters on my share buttons disappeared. Was that meant to happen?
Never mind. Related posts seems to be working now (it was clashing with Jetpack). But my counters are still missing?
@lanina001 – Can you post the url to your site and also send me your Shareaholic username? I’ll take a look at what’s going on with the counters.
