• Hi Alex,

I am getting this message for all WP sites as of today:

Unable to like this object because it is not accessible (it may have been removed or you may no longer have permission to see it).

Facebook Comments appear on site, and on my page. But I can’t like or comment. Share is completely gone.

Also (this has been always) the first Facebook comment on a post (on the WP site) never appears right away like the following one after that. (It’s always the first one.) The user does not see his FB comment until he refreshes (which of course she/he wouldn’t know).

    Other than that….love. πŸ™‚

    Thank you in advance,
    Richard

I just checked on about all my 20 sites (several for clients). All show the same issue.

Publishes on WP install, publishes on my FB page, but then always the same message:

Unable to like this object because it is not accessible (it may have been removed or you may no longer have permission to see it).

I tried it on the developers homepage just now with the same result.

Strangely enough, it works with Android. Without Share function however appearing.

It’s amazing that nobody seem to care nor react to this. This is the most downloaded Facebook Comments, and if the problem is even on the developers site itself, I can’t imagine that it is only happening on my sites.

Do I need to try the manual install via the Facebook site? Whats the use of plugins then?

I tried other FB Comments plgins with same issue.

The issue prevails. With all FB comment plgins. And all WP sites. I sent the problem to the FB guys.

Not just my WP sites. Anyone’s I tested it on.

I have the exactly same issue.

Same here, has anyone obtained any info?

    pr0t0c0l & jennyecho,

thank God you are getting the same. I mean, not really, but it seems the topic is being ignored, both by WP, FB, and the FB comments developers.

    Again:
NO MATTER from which WP Install, mine, other, or even the developers site – the comment appears on the site like normal, posts to the personal FB page, BUT LIKE AND COMMENT PRODUCES THIS FAILURE NOTICE:

Unable to like this object because it is not accessible (it may have been removed or you may no longer have permission to see it).

AND SHARE IS COMPLETELY GONE. THIS HAS BEEN THE STATUS SINCE FB WENT DOWN LAST SUNDAY.

I cannot believe that with so many WP Sites with so many FB Comments Plugin Installs on these sites, the problem would remain unnoticed or ignored.

According to the developer, it is FB problem. I reported the problem twice to them so far. I mean, the FB comment app must be on 1000’s of sites, if not a million.

    Rckelsey,

I am going through the exact same thing. it was working perfectly fine, until about a week and a half ago. Close to when Facebook went down. I have tried every plugin for Facebook and coming up with the same error message that you are receiving

    OBJECTS CANNOT BE LIKED

I was curious if you have found an answer or a hint on what is gong on?

Angelo, I wrote Facebook twice. Nothing yet. I just find it strange that not a whole wave of wp users have discovered this yet. I tested every wp site I came across with facebook comments installed with the same issue each time.

I’ve had the same issue for weeks. Been trying to find an alternative plugin but if it’s a FB issue it probably won’t make a difference.
