Hi, great plugin but I seem to be having a slight problem with emails being picked up as junk by Microsoft’s email filters.

I’ve tried directing the contact form to a gmail address and they come through fine but hotmail just thinks they are spam.

I’ve tried both WP-mail and PHP mail but still no luck.

The emails just looks like this so I don’t know why it thinks they are junk.

    The message is:
    Name:
    Email:
    Subject:
    Message:

  • The problem is with your hosting. Once the message has been sent the plugin has finished it’s job. If you see the thank you page then the email is now under the control of your host and then microsoft.

You could try changing the junk mail filter on your microsoft account but I can’t promise it will work.

    Hi, thanks for your response.

I managed to create an action in the mail settings that would move any mail with my custom subject to the inbox and that seems to have fixed the problem.

Can you tell me what you did so I can add this to the help pages

    1. Whilst in the inbox click the cog in the top right corner and from the dropdown menu choose ‘More email settings’.

    2. Under ‘Customising Outlook’ choose ‘Rules for sorting new messages’.

    3. Click new rule.

    4. For Step 1: choose subject > is > ‘example subject’ and Step 2 defaults to ‘move to inbox’ or you can choose a specific folder.

I’ve taken screenshots of it as well.
