  • Hi Mauwy,

    Short answer is: not sure.

Longer answer: The post feed slides work with standard custom post types. If Events Manager uses a custom post type to store the events, and you can assign a standard featured image to each event, then the events will show up in a post feed. But, there’s no special integration – for example it won’t be able to display the date for the event – just the title. I’ll add a ticket to our backlog to look at getting some decent integration in there.

    Tom.

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I think I will bump into any issues eventually since I do believe this end client should get Meta Slider Pro. It does not need to post dates.

Have you ever tested it? It should only show the title and featured image anyway. I think these two plugins go well together if combined 🙂

    Mauwy

Does meta slider have thumbnail support? I want image thumbnails for navigation, to appear below the slider instead of the dots. Is this possible? please let me know.

    Hi Shelz7,

Use the Flexslider and enable Carousel mode. Works fine 🙂

    Best regards,
    Mauwy

Shelz7, Meta Slider Pro has thumbnail support, see: http://metaslider.com/examples

Mauwy, I’ve never tested it with Event Manager specifically, but it does work with custom post types. I’d be surprised if Event Manager doesn’t store events as custom post types. We offer a 30 day ‘no hassle’ money back guarantee, so you could give it a try. It’s me who does the refunds and I’m not interested in keeping peoples money if they’re not 100% happy 🙂

    Regards,
    Tom

Mauwy, thanks but thats not what I am really looking for. I want the thumbnails below the slider for navigation.

Thanks Tom,guess the dots and arrows will have to do.

    Mauwy,

I’ve just installed Events Manager and I can confirm the events can be extracted using a Post Feed slide.

    Regards,
    Tom.

    Hi Tom,

That’s wonderful news! I have been working on something separate and did not have the time to dive deeper into this. I really appreciate that you took the time 🙂

I will forward this to the end user right away.

    Many thanks,
    Mauwy
