• Thanks in advance for your help.

I’m helping the company that I work for set up an easy way to distribute information and news. The first thing that came to mind, of course, was WordPress. There are some issues, however, surrounding technology and implementation. We are trying to replace a listserve that functions off-site while keeping all the things that people like about it (easy to distribute, unmoderated feedback, etc). Here’s what we want to accomplish:

    – A few different streams of information (RSS) that people can subscribe to and comment on.

    – Needs to be out of the public domain (i.e. logged in to be seen)

    – Needs to be easy to post to for our executives and authorized customers

Here’s the system, in concept, and what I need help with:

    – A few different feeds of information, each with their own unique post-to email address (can I do this with one WordPress installation or do I need a few).

    – Each instance (or just the one) of WordPress needs to be secure and it’s feed hidden from the public (is this possible? Can you create a private RSS feed?)

    – Each feed would dump into an RSS feed reader dotnetnuke module on a secure site that customers could log in to.

    – Customers/employees could sign up for email updates and post questions/comments to the feed in our DNN site (not sure if that is even possible… can RSS items be sent automatically to a forum post?)

Hopefully this makes sense and someone out there can help me. Is there any other way to make DNN work with WP? We’re concerned, primary, about security and, secondarily, about ease of use.

    Thank you!!
