I have Events Manager installed and a single Custom Taxonomy ‘Branch’ setup. The backend part works as expected i.e. I can add an event and assign a ‘Branch’ to it.

If I browse to example.com/events/branch/my-branch the loop returns no events.

I’ve tried creating my Taxonomy using the functions.php (my usual approach) and also the plugins mentioned in the link below. Both have the same result.

I’ve also tried linking my custom Tax with the events post type using the register_taxonomy_for_object_type(); function – again to avail.

    What could I be missing?

you might need additional coding so your custom taxonomy is integrated with EM. how about using EM Categories or Tags?

I think tweaking is needed if you want WP to include event or location CPTs to be included in those archives.

The only way we support custom taxonomies for listings is by using our shortcodes or functions, as described in the link you provided.

    Understood.

Unfortunately we’re already using the EM Categories for another purpose. Each Event needs to be given a selection of three different taxonomies. The EM Categories work fine however any custom taxonomies fall short when viewed in a WordPress generated archive.

We’ll keep testing and post any working solution we find.

    Thanks.
