Inline Link Not Showing

I just installed Email Before Download to handle a white paper a client of mine is offering. We already had Contact Form 7 installed but added the older version of Download Monitor as specified in your directions. I added the pdf to Download Monitor and created a form in Contact Form 7, then added the recommended code using the ids from both. The form is showing up (see here http://www.hccg-inc.com/white-paper-series-on-online-review-management-2/) but when I fill out the form it just says Thank You for Submitting the Form. I do not see an inline link (which I specified in the settings). Could you offer any suggestions for getting this to work?

Hello Lisa Rae,

When testing out the link you provided, we are able to see the link (it appears below the “thank you for submitting”). However, when we click on this link, we get a 404. This means that either the download ID included in the ebd shortcode is wrong, or there is just something wrong with the download.

Double check the download ID and the EBD short code. If those are correct, test out Download Monitor on its own to make sure it is configured properly.

Thank you for checking the page. It is still not working for me in Firefox (on a Mac) but I did get it to work in Google Chrome (on a PC). I am checking the other browsers now. The link works now that I updated the Permalinks. Any ideas for Firefox?

Works in Safari on my Mac and in IE on a PC.

Does the Download Monitor link on its own work on firefox?

Yes, The Download Monitor links works in Firefox on its own.

Hi Lisarae,

We’ve tested out your site on firefox (on a PC) and it opened up the file in a new tab. Please test it again and let us know if things work.

In Firefox on my Mac, the link still does not appear under the Thank You message. It works fine in Safari and Chrome on the Mac. I do not have Firefox loaded on our house PC.

Hi Lisa Rae,

We’ve now tested this on Firfox on a Mac and it worked for us. It was a newly installed version of Firefox, so perhaps you don’t have an updated version of Firefox. Because we can’t reproduce the error, its hard to say what the problem is
