Author URL showing personal email

    My WordPress account is done through my personal email. I am doing my site for my business so I don’t want my personal email anywhere on there.

    The problem comes that when I make a new post, and you click on my author profile, the URL has my email right in it. It comes up as
    http://www.[domain].com/author/%5Bemail%5Dgmail-com/

    Is there any way to change this URL, or am I stuck with it? It’s not a huge deal, but I’d rather people not get my personal email from my business page.

    couldn’t see a post which was showing you as author.

    In any case if you are logged on, you’ll see lots of stuff in your profile that people who aren’t logged on don’t see.

    1. the link you gave comes up as 404 – possibly because I was not logged on
    2. Do you get the problem when you’re not logged in?
    3. if so, can you post a URL to a post (rather than a profile), so that we can test it like a customer would?

    Oh, that’s not the actual link haha. I was posting a hypothetical one. I’ll show you what I mean:
    http://momijistudios.com/home/

    I have a test post there called “News Test”. You can see that the author is Momiji, which is how I’d want my name to appear. If you click on Momiji, it takes you here:
    http://momijistudios.com/author/sillypiemangmail-com/

    That URL after author/ is my personal email O__o

    Okay, I didn’t know how to make new users. I figured it out. I just made a new user with the name Momiji, and that fixed the problem. I guess I’ll just log in with that user from now on, or at least to make a new post.

    I have the same problem and am confused on your solution. Did you just make a new user for your website and set that as the admin? How should I rid the internet of my personal email URL?
